LocusSolyc10g086260
Locus name anthocyanin 1
Symbol ant1
Gene activity transcription factor
Description Ant1 encodes a MYB transcription factor. It is involved in the biosynthesis of anthocyanin in tomato. Overexpression of ant1 results in purple pigmentation of tomato. Its overexpression in tomato is also associated with upregulation of chalcone synthase (CHS) and dihydroflavonol reductase (DFR).
Chromosome 10
Armlong
