Genomes of Solanum lycopersicum inbred lines
The genomes of tomato inbred lines consist mostly of Solanum lycopersicum
and carry genome fragments originating from various tomato wild species.
Breeders develop inbreds for introducing valuable genetic variation from multiple wild species and/or accessions while maintaining
a genetic background of the domesticated species. This is achieved by outcrossing followed by multiple genetrations of backcrossing and selection.
Gh13 genome |
Gh13 is a begomovirus resistant line carrying the Ty3 gene.
This line was developed in Guatamala (Mejia et al., 2004)
were it has been tested over multiple seasons and consistently shows very good resistance against high begomovirus pressure there. Resistance in Gh13 is reportedly derived from S. habrochaites (Vidavsky and Czosnek, 1998)

BTI87 genome |
BTI87 is a begomovirus resistant line carrying the Ty3 gene.
BTI87 was developed in Guatemala and maintains a high level of resistance derived from the begomovirus-resistant inbred Gc171, which is in turn derived from S. chilense accession LA1932 (Scott and Schuster, 2007)

Fla630 is a Fusarium Wilt Race 3 resistant tomato inbred line carrying the I-3 gene.
The I-3 gene was introgressed from S. pennellii and confers resistance to race 3. Although I-3 provides effective control, it is negatively associated with several horticultural traits, including increased sensitivity to bacterial spot disease (Xanthomonas spp.)
